Goal-Oriented

During the initial consultation we will discuss how you feel about your current health and fitness level. I would like to know everything from how you feel when you get out of bed in the morning, to what your energy is like by the end of the day. Once we’ve established the groundwork for what is contributing to your current fitness status, I’ll then ask you to envision what it would be like to feel and look even better!

Health Supportive

If you are over the age of thirty, you may have noticed a few aches and pains that are sticking around longer than they used to. Years of “having fun” are now showing up in your step and your waistline. Or perhaps you’ve gotten some concerning news about your health. Not to worry! There are many ways to turn back the clock.

I like to think of health issues like blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and many others, like meals. Many ingredients combine to make a delicious meal and one unsuitable ingredient can ruin the whole dish! We will check the recipe, make some adjustments and you’ll be back in business in no time. If you are on the younger side of the fence, you will greatly appreciate being ahead of the game.

Sports-Specific

Football, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, track, baseball, softball, tennis, and many other sports require quick-thinking and explosive movements. Other sports such as surfing, rowing, and skiing require power, a solid core, and stamina. The best training regimen for your particular sport is one that is designed around that sport’s strategies and movements.

You may want to respond to the ball quicker, run faster, or maybe you’re beating yourself at your own game with frustration or a lack of confidence; I can help you overcome these minor setbacks with a training regimen designed just for you and your sport. We will incorporate plyometrics, strength training, flexibility, and sports psychology in your program and you will undoubtedly see your skills skyrocket to a new level.

Deadline Training

There are many times you are faced with an upcoming event where you want to look and feel your best: Weddings, reunions, photo shoots, vacations, or the enticing summer months. There will be pictures taken and impressions made and you want to represent yourself well. This type of training is always fun because there is an underlying incentive allowing for a slightly more aggressive approach. We will adjust your nutrition and supplements and push you to your max in the gym.

Although I want to provide the groundwork for quick results, I will support our training with many suggestions for proper rest and time management for a stress free environment. I will also work with you after your event so that you can merge your success into a manageable lifestyle.

Pre, During, or Ppost Pregnancy

When you make the decision to have children, it is critical that you start taking extra care of yourself. Before you become pregnant you will want to create a healthy and serene environment in your body, and even more so once you conceive. We will review and support all aspects of your and your child’s health: nutrition, rest, cardiovascular strength, muscular promotion, and psychological composure. It is also important to understand that not only do you need to prepare your muscles to support an additional life, but you will also need to take into consideration that your mental activity passes directly over to your baby. Therefore, the mood elevating benefits of exercise will be paramount.

After birth you will not only have your hands full, but you will experience an entirely new body; you will have new hormones and new responsibilities to your body. We will nurture your body back into shape, which will also promote an energy level appropriate for your new baby!

Flexibility

There are many things that contribute to tight or uncomfortable muscles: Improper training, lifestyle influences, poor diet, and stress are just a few. We will start by assessing your posture through a variety of different movements. This will enable us to connect any observed deviations to tightness in your muscles or spine. The exercises that will benefit your posture will utilize neglected muscles which will then assist in loosening the tight muscles.

Furthermore, we will incorporate lengthening movements that are challenging enough to alter the composition of your posture yet gentle enough to avoid causing any additional trauma. Your muscles will quickly recognize their new arrangement and you are sure to gain a new found comfort in your own skin.

Couples Training

Whether you are currently working out with your spouse or loved one, or you think it will be a great activity to do together, couple’s workouts are so much fun. I will assess you individually and work both of your needs into the workouts. The sessions will incorporate both supportive challenges and competitive endeavors. We will work hard, have fun, but the best part is that you will learn things about your partner that will probably surprise and impress you. Finally, I have to admit that I have an ulterior motive which is to shed light on each of your strengths, establishing a unique respect in your relationship.

Nutrition Counseling

This is the area that excites me the most! The common saying “you are what you eat,” just doesn’t do enough justice to this monumental concept. A better visual would be, instead of eating your food and wiping your hands clean as it disappears into your body, you were to glue your food right to your arms, legs, stomach and face. I know that sounds a bit absurd, but that would make for a more accurate description of the connection between your food and your body’s performance.

Depression, anger, stress, and many other psychological disturbances are not often enough tied to our nutrition plans. Not only does our mood change with the flux of our diets, but our mental chemistry depends on the chemical interaction of the foods we consume. Your physiological, psychological, and emotional health depends on proper nutrition, and your body’s ability to shed body fat or gain muscle tissue is solely reliant on it. In fact, this is the first ingredient making up the person you are at this very moment.

I will assess the makeup of your digestive system with the help of a questionnaire aimed at revealing symptoms related to nutritional deficiencies. Along with a description of your average day’s meal plan, I will help you clean up toxins that are preventing proficient function. I will guide you through a journey of nutritional exploration where you will learn to find your own “meal plan.”

I am also going to suggest that you try to disregard any previous learned knowledge from diets you’ve attempted or read about. Instead I am offering to orchestrate an environment for you to discover your body and its needs and to do so require you to ignore any external influences or past experiences.

Packages
I have designed a number of packages to accommodate a variety of goals and budgets. The packages are merely suggestions that may be tailored to fit the individuals’ needs once a goal assessment has been made.

30 min sessions
For the individual who...
Has a limited amount of time, wants to maintain current fitness level, and/or wants to train more often for a shorter period of time,

1 hour sessions (3 times per week)
The most popular package, for the individual who...
Is committed to their goal, wants to be held accountable to their health and fitness needs, and/or is supplementing the rehab of a previous or current injury,

1 ½ hour sessions
For the individual who...
Wants to incorporate stretching and/or cardio in their session, is interested in condensing the training into 1 or 2 days, and/or is working on building lean muscle

Paired training sessions
Very popular for...
Couples who support each others fitness goals, friends who want to share a training experience, or someone with a smaller budget - in which case I will pair you with another client who shares similar fitness goals (based on availability).

There are 3 package sizes for each of the options listed above according to the commitment level. The smallest package is approximately one months worth of sessions, and the most committed individual will be benefit from a lower rate for 3 months.
